I deeply miss the middle finger to corporate conformist anything, especially b/c I also feel that I'm being driven--against my will--into a living Matrix. Sigh.
BIG sigh! I'm constantly wondering, "Do I actually like this, or did the tech bros just feed it to me because they know it will keep me on their platform?" I just finished The Nineties by Chuck Klosterman and it got me fired up to tap into that middle finger energy that defined Gen X, but without the toxic parts that plagued the era... Like an evolved and mature version... I'm way over thinking it, but the main thought in my head is that things should be better than they are.
