Hello Friends,
Inspired by this post from Cup of Jo, this week, I’m contemplating what I like about where I live.
We have one highway.
I can be anywhere in 15 minutes or less, though I still complain about going “all the way out to Costco.”
We make good tacos. But I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never been here.
Famous people live here, but we don’t care.
The Rose Garden
A great local newspaper. I know somebody who wrote a cool series about how she ran every street in Santa Barbara… wink, wink… it was me :)
Hidden gems like the frog wall
Minutes from great hikes
Not too big or too small, but just right to hold all that I love.
Share in the comments what you like about where you live.
This is where I am today. Thank you for listening.
xoxo,
Emily
P.S. We are visiting with Nick’s family this week, and it’s got me thinking about what I like about where I’m from… Be on the lookout for that post next week.

I love
1. Living across the street from my 86 year old dad.
2. Having a friend's private and often shaded pickleball court within a 8-min drive
3. Trader Joes 3 minutes away
4. Some of my best girlfriends within walking distance
5. Warmth all year long (sometimes too much warmth!!)
6. An insane support group surrounding me.
7. Ample beach locations to visit with my family on both the west and east coast of my state (FLORIDA)
This is a GREAT exercise. Writing these things down has made me appreciate my community a LOT more.
It’s such a delight to be mentioned here! Thank you!!
I love most the closeness of my dog’s favorite park ❤️
