Hello Friends,
This week I spent some serious Q.T. with my two best friends of all time. One of them is getting married this month, and we celebrated her by spending a few days relaxing in Ojai: LOTS of good food, massages, fantastic conversation, and playing my new favorite game Mexican Train Dominos.
The three of us have been friends for two decades. We met during our wild 20’s, supporting each other through break-ups and the twists and turns of our early careers. Then in our 30’s, we stood next to each other at weddings and witnessed the birth and loss of children.
Finding and keeping good friends is not easy. Since getting sober 14 years ago, I have made a concerted effort to cultivate strong and supportive friendships. I’ve made some mistakes along the way, but all of that has led to some deep and satisfying relationships I will always cherish.
This is where I am today. Thank you for listening.
xoxo,
Emily

For the first time in a long time, I was having too much fun doing other things to finish and review a book. I’ll be back next week with more.
