An Invitation
100 days of creation
Hello Friends,
Just popping in mid-week to invite you to join me on a journey with one of my favorite Substackers, Suleika Jaouad of the Isolation Journals.
This Friday, April 1st I will begin a 100 days project. Knowing my history with projects like this one and this one I am excited to start something new.
This is a personal quest to invite more creativity into my life. Specifically, I want to work on my book, a memoir about running every street in Santa Barbara while processing the loss of my son Aiden to brain cancer.
I didn’t want to overcomplicate things because that always leads to analysis paralysis. I just spent a few minutes journaling about my creative contract from Isolation Journals. I wrote about what I wanted to do, what roadblocks I can anticipate, and how I want to feel while doing this project. I thought more on the lines of intentions rather than goals.
I hope you’ll join me in this creative endeavor. If you do, share with me how it’s going and I’ll keep you posted on my progress.

I have gushed about The Isolation Journals and Jaouad’s book Between Two Kingdoms: A Memoir of a Life Interrupted before so I don’t want to repeat myself except to say that I became a paid subscriber a few months ago and I find a ton of creative value in what she offers.
